Join me on the river
Life is busy these days, and I seem to spend a lot of time on the road and in meeting rooms. It comes with the job. In the spaces in between, I try to find time to get outside and reconnect with the land and water that makes Northwest B.C. so special.
There’s a stretch of the Bulkley River upstream of my home in Smithers that makes for a good evening paddle. It’s just a couple hours door to door. If I hit the eddy at Riverside Park, it’s a short portage up the trail to my house. The other night I managed to get away from the computer and the phone, throw my canoe on my car, and get on the water.
I hope you enjoy this reflection on politics, our region and the future from the stern of my canoe.
